Roland VersaCAMM Troubleshooting Tips

Tweet Check Those Settings! Roland VersaCAMMAdding a Roland VersaCAMM printer/cutter unit to your garment decoration shop can take you to a whole new level of garment decorating capabilities, in terms of the types of jobs you can do, as well as the speed and efficiency with which you can do them. If you currently work with t-shirts and hoodies, a Roland VersaCAMM will allow you to think about adding decals, wall and floor graphics, vehicle graphics, labels, banners, posters, apparel decoration, and pretty much any sign you can think of. The sign making possibilities alone are endless with a Roland VersaCAMM. Here’s a tip on a common goof made by new VersaCAMM users: If you’re having trouble getting your Roland VersaCAMM to print, or it’s not printing correctly, one of the first things to check are the settings. Sometimes, the error occurs because of an incorrect profile or heat setting for a particular type of material. Each profile in VersaWorks, your VersaCAMM’s software, has the proper temperature setting for the print and drying areas. If you inadvertently use the wrong setting, you can have problems ranging from grainy prints to materials that wash out too quickly. Using... [Read more]

Notes from a Traveling Technician: Emergency at 30,000 feet!

Tweet Our traveling technician at Imprintables Warehouse, Steven Jackson, who writes in to tell us tales from the road, saved a man’s life while flying from L.A. to Detroit. It’s handy having a former military officer and EMT on our team! He writes: “On my flight from LAX to Detroit last month I awoke to an announcement that a passenger was having a severe allergic reaction to peanuts. I told the flight attendant that I was an Emergency Medical Technician and could help. An ER doctor joined me and we helped the man administer an EPI-pen that relieved his initial reaction. He seemed stable at first, but soon his condition began to deteriorate. We administered another EPI-pen and 150 mg of Benadryl, an oxygen treatment, and an intravenous fluid line. We then connected him to an AED to allow us to monitor his heart. The plane hurried to Detroit where we assisted the paramedics in safely getting him off the plane. Needless to say, it my last hour in flight as an exciting one!” Thanks Steven! It’s great having you around.
